| Welcome
to The Friends Of The Children’s Justice Center Currently, over 1,300 cases of child abuse and neglect are reported in Maui County each year. Also, one in four girls and one in six boys will be sexually molested before the age of 18. The cost to the county for this abuse is enormous. Child maltreatment has been an issue that has been swept under the carpet for too many years. We need to recognize the significance of the problem and address the issues surrounding the healing of the victims and education of the community. The mission statement
for the Friends of the Children’s Justice Center of Maui,
Inc., (FCJC) is to provide assistance to abused and neglected children,
to promote prevention of child abuse and neglect, and to support
the Children’s Justice Center of Maui. We have been providing
these services for over 15 years. |
