I have been
blessed with the opportunity and privilege to know you, your agency
and the services you provide because of my position with Women Helping
Women, a non-profit agency whose mission is “to end domestic
violence through advocacy, education and prevention; and to offer
safety, support and empowerment to women and children, victims of
domestic violence.”
As a former
part-time Transitions Project case manager and now as the full-time
Temporary Restraining Order advocate, FCJC has played an integral
part of the survival plan for many of our victims, both the mother
and her children as they do their part to break the cycle of abuse
in their lives by a batterer. Your agency has also stretched your
generosity towards our emergency shelter and the children’s
program that also exist within our agency and I suggest that you
contact them for more details.
As for the departments
that I have worked in, the financial support of FCJC has made many
dreams come true for our island keiki, giving them something positive
to look forward to and meeting their financial needs; whether it
be for educational, safety and basic living necessities.
The keiki we
meet in this line of work, in our schools and in our lives are truly
the heart of our community and their own determination to live is
their bloodline. We are simply the vessels that help them function
and continue to live a life of purpose and meaning. It has been
an honor to be a partner with you and your agency as your generous
financial contributions continue to pump life to our precious children."
